Milwaukee and Waukesha ARES/RACES operate several WinLink 2000 RMS Packet Nodes and Digi-peaters within Milwaukee and Waukesha County is part of the Wisconsin ARES/RACES WinLink Network. RMS Packet Node W9WK-10 and its digi-peater W9WK-2 are located at the Milwaukee Red Cross building. RMS Packet Node W9AUK-10 and its digi-peater (currently under construction) are located at the Waukesha Red Cross building. Both RMS Packet Nodes and their digi-peaters operate on 145.610 MHz, which is allocated for statewide ARES/RACES use. Â
Other affiliated WinLink RMS Packet Nodes within Milwaukee and Waukesha County include KB9RHZ-10, and N9VE-10, NZ9I-10 all of which can be accessed on 145.610 MHz.
Another affiliated site RMS Packet Node KB9MMC-10 can be accessed on 145.610 MHz, and 144.930 at 1200 Baud, or 446.100 at 9600 Baud. This station also provides local hubing of messages for its users in the event of Internet failure in the area, and has a D-Star ISP port on 1290MHz. An RMS Pactor port for HF access at this site is currently under construction at this site.
